As someone who works with social media, I’m on my phone and computer ALLLLLL the time! I’m on social platforms, sending e-mails, taking pictures, listening to podcasts, you name it. While so many of the tools social media managers use are digital, there are certain physical products I’ve acquired over time that I just don’t think I could do without anymore, and I want to share them with you!
Blue Light Blocking Glasses
- Don’t let anyone tell you these don’t work
- Don’t let anyone tell you that you need to drop a lot of $$ to have them
These are essential! Staring at screens all day can do major damage to your eyes. Now that I wear these, I notice how harsh the light is when I’m not wearing them. I snagged these on Amazon for just $15.99!
Selfie Light Ring
When I first saw this I honestly thought, “Why!?” Oddly enough, it has become one of my favorite little tools! It’s great for getting on Instagram stories or Facebook live, and can also come in handy for selfies and photos. It clips onto your phone and has different light settings. I got this one from Target for $9.99.
Okay, okay – I know this one is a little more splurge-y. I had a “treat yoself” moment when I bought these, BUT I’m so glad I did. It’s so nice to be able to do everything hands-free while using them, and the sound quality is amazing. A personal bonus is that I’m a runner, and these stay firmly in my ears while I’m exercising. Obviously these can be purchased through Apple, but I happened to get mine at Target.
I love to plan, and every once in awhile it’s REALLY nice to put down the phone, close the laptop, and just write. I love using a physical planner because it allows me to disconnect, cross items off my list, and map out my future plans. I know people are very particular about planners, but I happen to love Day Designer. It has monthly and daily calendars, and it has spaces for notes, priorities, goals, motivational quotes, etc. I got this one on Amazon for $24.99.
Phone Ring Stand
Yes, we truly live in a world where we’re on our phones so much, we need assistance with holding them! The carpal tunnel is real, y’all. Similar to a pop socket, these rings make it easier to hold your phone, and they act as a kickstand when you want to prop your phone up. I like these because they look more minimal than a pop socket, but they pretty much serve the same purpose. No more dropping your phone on your face! I got this 2-pack of ring stands on Amazon for $7.69.
These are just a few of my favorite products, and if there are some you think I should know about, I’d love to hear from you!
